SPGE's high functionality (~4.5 epoxy groups vs 2 for DGEBA) produces a denser crosslinked network, giving better chemical and solvent resistance. The polyol-derived structure provides inherent flexibility vs brittle DGEBA thermosets. Full water miscibility eliminates the need for reactive diluents or co-solvents in WB systems. Best paired with waterborne polyamine hardeners at stoichiometric ratio for ambient cure concrete protection.
