FAQ
Fully alkylated HMMM (MF-50 type) requires strong acid catalysis. p-Toluene sulfonic acid (pTSA) at 0.3–0.7% on total binder solids is standard. Blocked acid catalysts (DDBSA·amine salt) offer improved shelf stability and allow baking at 120–140°C. Higher acid loading accelerates crosslinking but reduces intercoat adhesion windows — optimise for your specific bake cycle.
