FAQ
BG-type resins combine the chemical resistance of melamine crosslinking with the flexibility imparted by the benzoguanamine phenyl ring, achieving 0T–1T T-bend (no cracking on metal forming) and passing pasteurisation/retort resistance tests at 121°C/30 min. Pure melamine resins give brittle films that crack during can necking and seaming. BG resins are the industry standard for beer/beverage can exterior lacquers.
