Tertiary amine accelerators (benzyldimethylamine BDMA at 0.5–2 phr, or 2-ethyl-4-methylimidazole 2E4MZ at 1–3 phr) are required — anhydrides alone are unreactive with epoxies at room temperature. Standard gel-cast schedule: 80°C/2h + 120°C/4h + 140°C/2h post-cure. This 3-step ramp prevents exotherm cracking in thick castings. Tg achieved: 110–130°C depending on DGEBA/MeTHPA ratio and post-cure.
