FAQ
KH-570 is incorporated at 0.5–2% in the UV-curable acrylate primary coating formulation. The methacrylate group copolymerises with acrylate monomers/oligomers during UV cure, anchoring the silane into the network. The trimethoxysilyl group, after partial hydrolysis in trace moisture at the glass surface, condenses with silanol groups on the glass fiber surface. This provides durable covalent adhesion — critical for maintaining primary coating adhesion during cabling, bending, and aging at high humidity.
