IPDI biuret excels on flexible plastic substrates (PP, TPO, ABS/PC blends) where a balance of hardness and flexibility is critical. The biuret structure provides better film flexibility than IPDI trimer, reducing micro-cracking on plastic parts subject to thermal cycling. Requires adhesion promoter (chlorinated PP or reactive primer) on low-energy polyolefin substrates.
