At recommended use levels of 0.5–2%, the chain-stopping effect on crosslink density is negligible. At the upper end of the dosage range a marginal reduction in pencil hardness (less than 0.5 units) may be observed; formulators targeting maximum hardness should start at 0.5% and evaluate before increasing.

Can ULA-50 be used in UV-waterborne hybrid systems as well as 100% UV formulations?

ULA-50 is designed for 100% UV solvent-free systems and UV-hybrid formulations containing up to 30% water. For fully aqueous UV dispersions, an emulsified reactive leveling agent is more appropriate; contact technical support for guidance on suitable grades.
