FAQ
Silicone leveling agents (polyether or polyester-modified PDMS) provide stronger surface tension reduction and better anti-cratering performance but can cause intercoat adhesion issues at overdose (>0.5% on solid). Use non-silicone acrylate leveling agents when the coating system requires recoatability or when applying multiple coats without sanding. Silicone types are preferred for single-coat industrial finishes and high-bake OEM enamels where adhesion to next coat is not critical.
