FAQ
The primary amine group in aminopropyltrimethoxysilane is directly reactive with epoxy groups at room temperature, forming covalent bonds at the interface between the epoxy resin and mineral substrates (steel, glass, concrete). This dual-bonding mechanism — silanol groups covalently anchored to the substrate, amine groups chemically integrated into the epoxy network — creates exceptional adhesion durability and corrosion resistance in primer systems. The amine group can also act as a latent curing catalyst for epoxy in some formulations, accelerating crosslinking near the substrate interface where Z-6011 concentration is highest.
