Powder Coating Acrylic Leveling Agent Resiflow PV5 Type

Polyacrylate leveling agents for powder coatings are liquids at room temperature (low Tg) and would cause blocking and clumping if added neat to powder formulations. Adsorbing onto fine SiO2 (50% active) creates a free-flowing powder that dry-blends uniformly with the resin/hardener mix. During stoving (160–200°C), the acrylate melts off the SiO2 and migrates to the surface to provide leveling. The SiO2 carrier stays dispersed in the film and can also contribute slight matting.
