PEPD-20 has moderate foam tendency due to its polyether chain. In roller or spray applied architectural coatings, pair with a silicone-free defoamer at 0.1–0.3% to manage foam. In brush-applied systems, foam is rarely problematic at the recommended 0.3–1.0% dosage level.
