Polyester-modified silicone leveling agents have superior thermal stability (up to 200°C) compared to polyether types, making them ideal for high-bake industrial enamels (140–200°C). They are less prone to yellowing and maintain surface effect after stoving. Polyether types are preferred for ambient-cure or low-bake systems where their better hydrophilicity aids substrate wetting.
