MW 30000 is preferred when long-term storage stability (>6 months) is required or when pigment volume concentration exceeds 30%. The extended polymer chain creates a thicker steric barrier preventing particle flocculation. It is especially effective in high-gloss waterborne systems where even minor flocculation degrades 60° gloss below 85 GU.
