At 15,000 g/mol the polyacrylate chain is long enough to provide steric as well as electrostatic stabilization, making it suitable for carbon black and organic pigments where pure electrostatic stabilization is insufficient. Mill base viscosity is slightly higher than with MW 5000 but color strength and gloss development improve significantly.
