Phosphate Ester Dispersant for Metallic Pigments PEM-30

Phosphate ester groups form strong coordination bonds with the aluminum oxide surface layer on metallic flakes, replacing weakly adsorbed lubricants from the milling process. This prevents gassing (H2 evolution) in waterborne metallic basecoats and maintains the oriented flat-lying arrangement of flakes that delivers high face-angle brightness and flip-flop effect.
