FAQ
Pure PTFE micronized wax provides excellent slip (low COF ~0.04) but has very low surface energy that makes it difficult to wet and disperse in coating systems—it tends to float out and create surface defects. PE wax has better compatibility with coating binders and disperses more uniformly. In PE/PTFE composites, PTFE particles are attached to or embedded in PE wax particles, inheriting the PE dispersion behavior while delivering PTFE surface properties at the film interface. The result is better coating compatibility, fewer defects, and more consistent slip performance than pure PTFE at the same or lower particle loading.
