Organic Zinc Catalyst ZnCAT-50 (Mild PU Catalyst, Low Toxicity)

Organic zinc catalysts are milder and give 2–3× longer pot life compared to bismuth and significantly longer than tin catalysts. They are preferred for: (1) large-area applications (industrial floors, bridges) where the pot life of strong tin/bismuth catalysts is insufficient; (2) waterborne 2K PU systems where catalyst activity must be moderated due to the slower reaction kinetics in aqueous medium; (3) formulations requiring excellent weather resistance where zinc does not contribute to yellowing. The trade-off is slower initial hardness development and often higher dosage requirement.
