Mineral Oil + Hydrophobic Silica Composite Defoamer MHS-800

Mineral oil defoamers work by rapidly spreading over foam lamellae, displacing surfactant and causing film rupture. At the correct dosage (0.1–0.3%), they do not impact film transparency or adhesion. Overdosing (>0.5%) can cause surface defects (fish-eyes) as oil droplets coalesce at the surface during drying. To prevent this, pre-mix the defoamer with a small portion of binder before adding to the full batch, and choose a defoamer with fine particle emulsification to ensure homogeneous distribution.
