HP-2000 uses a comb-type polyester anchor group with a high-MW steric stabilizing chain, similar in architecture to Solsperse 24000-series dispersants. The anchor adsorbs strongly onto the organic pigment surface while the solvated tail creates a steric barrier that prevents particle–particle approach, eliminating the flocculation that low-MW wetting agents cannot control.

Is HP-2000 compatible with both aromatic and aliphatic solventborne systems?

Yes. HP-2000 is designed for medium-to-high solvency solventborne systems (xylene, butyl acetate, aromatic blends). In very low-polarity aliphatic systems (mineral spirits, VM&P naphtha), solvation of the steric tail may be reduced; a compatibility test with the full formulation is recommended before production scale-up.
