FAQ

Hyperbranched (dendritic) polymer dispersants have multiple anchor groups on a compact, globular structure compared to linear polymers with one or few anchors. For difficult organic pigments (Quinacridone PR209, Diarylide PY83, Phthalocyanine PB15) with complex surface chemistry, multi-point anchoring through amine or acidic groups prevents desorption during storage and thermal stress, maintaining color strength and transparency. Linear dispersants at equivalent molecular weight cannot match the anchoring density achievable with hyperbranched architecture.
