EL-40 provides excellent emulsification efficiency for non-polar paraffin and PE waxes due to the castor oil backbone's inherent compatibility with hydrocarbon chains. The 40-EO chain provides a high cloud point (>70°C), allowing hot emulsification processes. EL-40 at 5–8% on wax weight produces stable 30–40% wax emulsions without requiring high-shear equipment.
