FAQ
Benzophenone is a Type II photoinitiator that cannot generate radicals independently; it requires an H-donor co-initiator. MDEA donates a hydrogen atom from its α-amino C–H bond to the excited triplet-state benzophenone, generating a highly reactive α-amino radical. This radical adds efficiently to acrylate double bonds, bypassing the oxygen inhibition layer at the film surface and significantly improving surface cure.
