FAQ
Both PG 36 and PG 7 are copper phthalocyanine greens produced by halogenation, but PG 7 uses chlorine only while PG 36 uses a mixed bromo-chloro substitution pattern. The bromination of PG 36 results in a cleaner, bluer-green (less yellowish) hue with marginally better transparency, making it preferred for automotive effect coatings and mixing systems where a true mid-green is required. PG 7 remains more widely used due to its lower cost.
