FAQ
The required loading depends on the target surface resistivity. For anti-static coatings (10⁶–10⁹ Ω/sq), graphite loadings of 5–10% by weight in the dry film are typically sufficient. For semi-conductive coatings (10³–10⁶ Ω/sq), 10–20% loading is common. Truly conductive films (<10³ Ω/sq) require loadings of 20–40% or combination with other conductive fillers such as carbon black. The percolation threshold (where conductivity rises sharply) depends on particle morphology and aspect ratio — platelet graphite achieves lower percolation thresholds than spherical grades.
