UV-curable silicone release systems like SRV-200 cure through radical or cationic photopolymerization initiated by UV light, enabling very fast line speeds (<50 m/min) without heat. Thermal platinum-catalyzed silicone systems require oven temperatures of 100–180°C and longer dwell times, which can limit substrate choice and energy efficiency. UV-cure systems are solvent-free and can be applied to heat-sensitive substrates such as thin polyethylene films or certain papers.
