C-95 has a softening point of ~96 °C and high compatibility with linseed and mineral oils, which are the vehicle components in heatset and coldset offset inks. Adding 10–25 % C-95 to the varnish builds tack to 8–15 (Inkometer units at 32 °C/400 rpm), critical for clean ink/water separation on the printing unit.
