They offer excellent film hardness, chemical resistance and cost efficiency in high-throughput production lines. Polyisocyanates (2K systems) are chosen for ambient or low-temperature cure where an oven is not available, or for flexible substrates requiring better elongation.

HMMM crosslinks through transetherification and condensation reactions catalyzed by Brønsted acids.
