Diacetone Alcohol (DAA)

DAA is incorporated into acrylic dispersion polymers bearing carbonyl functional groups. When ADIPIC ACID DIHYDRAZIDE (ADH) is added as the crosslinker, the ketone groups in DAA-modified polymer react with the ADH hydrazide groups at room temperature, forming a crosslinked network post-application. This eliminates the need for bake schedules in industrial coatings.
