Vinyl Toluene-Modified Alkyd Resin VT-50

Vinyl toluene is copolymerized into the alkyd backbone by a thermal (no-catalyst) process. The vinyl toluene units break down the network structure into shorter segments, reducing molecular weight and increasing solid content at the same viscosity. This allows faster solvent release, quicker surface dry, and harder films compared to unmodified alkyd at the same oil length.
