FAQ

Styrene content controls the hard-domain volume fraction and thus cohesive strength. At 14–16% styrene (SIS-1307 grade), the polymer delivers high tack and aggressive peel on low-energy surfaces such as PE and PP films, making it ideal for packaging labels and tapes. Increasing styrene to 20–22% raises cohesive strength and reduces creep but lowers initial tack; lower styrene grades (<12%) are used in stretchable or elastic adhesive constructions.
