FAQ
STPE polymers cure by moisture-activated silanol condensation, similar to silicone sealants. Typical catalysts are organotin compounds (e.g., DBTDL at 0.1–0.5%) or tin-free alternatives (titanates, bismuth carboxylates). At 23°C and 50% RH, skin formation occurs in 20–40 min. Full cure depth proceeds at approximately 3–5 mm per day.
