NSG-50 is supplied as an uncured compound and can be calendered, extruded, or compression-moulded. The cure system is zinc oxide/magnesium oxide based. Typical cure conditions are 160–175°C for 10–20 minutes depending on cross-section thickness. Post-cure at 120°C for 4 hours improves compression set resistance in static sealing applications.
